Lyngen - Furuflaten

Above the small town of Furuflaten is an escarpment holding several routes.

Further up the valley is a large obvious icefall, 100m, WI 4, known as Lyngsdalsfossen.  For this, park high up at the houses on the south side of Furuflaten.

Climbing Fluruflaten's large WI 4:

  1. The WI 4 looks like Iselvfossen. I don't know when it was first climbed or who did it, but a reasonalbe guess is that it happened sometime during the early 1980s.

  2. Sorry, Lyngsdalsfossen, not Iselvfossen.

    1. Thanks for the information, Stein. We'd be more than happy to update the blog if you have any more information about the climbs.
